The Black Restaurant Association of Central Ohio was established to raise the profile of the Black owned restaurants in the central Ohio area, not only for the residents of central Ohio but for all those who may be visiting the central Ohio area. The restaurants in this association provide delicious meals along with a delightful dinning experience. |
The web site provides a locator service and showcase for black owned restaurants. Whether it is a small, carry-out or delivery only restaurant, a large formal dining experience complete with entertainment, or anything in between, BRACO is the place to make your selection. |

Blackonomics Million Dollar Club |
The Blackonomics Million Dollar Club (BMDC) recognizes that freedom is not free and that our freedom requires unified action within the race. BMDC endeavors to gather 200,000 people via the internet to come together five times each year who will each contribute a minimum of $5.00 to a predetermined black organization suggested by its membership. Members suggest potential recipient organizations any time throughout the year. Participants are notified by email at the end of each of the following months as to which organization will be the next recipient of BMDC's support: January, March, June, September, and November. Members then mail their contributions directly to the recipient organization within two weeks after receiving the email. After that two-week period, BMDC secures from the organization a statement of the total amount of contributions it received from us. The information is then reported to the BMDC membership via email. Each time we come together, we contribute to a different organization. The only expectation BMDC has for each of its participants is that they send their contributions directly to the recipient organizations in a timely fashion once each organization is identified. A minimum of $5.00 is be contributed by each BMDC member. However, if members can do more, they are encouraged to do so. Every contribution is important and needed. If we pool our money, a little at a time, we can help the institutions we deem valuable, and we will set the examples of self-help and self-determination we all hold so dear. Want to participate? All you have to do is click on the "Blackonomics E-Mail Lists" box, go to the BMDC List, and add your e-mail address to the box. Be sure to delete the word "e-mail" from the box before doing so. For more detailed information on the BMDC, please send an e-mail to me, James Clingman, at: jclingman@blackonomics.com |
